Shifting

recent works by

Felice Koenig

March 3 – April 9

“Shifting” is an exhibition of Felice Koenig’s current paintings and drawings.  These paintings are an  homage to the tradition of the grid in abstraction through the creation of a free hand complex woven quilt of paint.  Each of these paintings is a record of one song translated into rhythmic color and blocks and is devotion to the musician and the song.  The drawings are worked more aggressively and spontaneously recording her reactions to the current unstable social and political climate.  These works harken back to her roots as an artist as she remembers and experiences again awakening to the overwhelming, imperfect and breathtaking world.

Go Ugly Early

recent works by

Peter Sowiski

February 3- 26

Peter Sowiski’s recent body of work is a continuation of his exploration of the tense times in which we live.
Contemporary society provides us with data, drones, droogs and death. The data and the deeds.
Sowiski’ work seeks to capture the space and beauty of the landscape, and  the powerful symbolic qualities of the subject, in one fell swoop.
